There WIll Be Rain

In this album we are able to witness Caleb Giles evolve and move into his more mature and recent sonic medium, he implements much more jazz and slower production rather than his previous hip hop drums and melodies. This project is a beautiful musical interpretation of the angst and sadness that Caleb and many other young adults tend to feel, a longing for a deeper connection with the self. Ideas of introspection and self discovery are outwardly discussed and vocalized in this album, with the most straight forward of these tracks being titled “Wondering” a beautiful piece of lyricism and hip hop poetry weaved into a slower and more jazz like song. Caleb also features his Brooklyn based jazz group Standing On The Corner in multiple tracks, it creates a more professional and refined jazz cohesion with all of his tracks. Overall this is a very cohesive and enjoyable listen, the lyricism and ideas reached in the project are extremely intelligent and I would definitely recommend a listen.
