Analogue

I have such a personal and self defining relationship with this album, everything about the sincerity and real-ness of this music keeps me coming back to it in chill and introspective times. Odie really creates a relatable narrative through this project which makes some kind of connection in almost every listener. In today’s world, young men often lack role models for healthy emotional expression, but Odie was fortunate to be influenced by Kid Cudi's heartfelt alternative hip-hop, shaping his debut album, Analogue. Drawing inspiration from Kid Cudi and Afrobeat legends, ODIE crafts a refreshing sound, offering listeners a genuine emotional journey with his minimal Frank Ocean-esque rhythmic approach. Despite his young age, Odie displays a mature introspection, navigating the pressures of success and existential questions while keeping a quiet confidence in his path. Tracks like “In My Head” and “Little Lies” hint at a grander musical vision, yet he finds value in slowing down and self-reflection, showcasing a depth of thought and poise beyond his years. As an analogue artist in a digital age, he eschews social media saturation in favor of building genuine intrigue and serving as a positive role model for young musicians, emphasizing patience, self-awareness, and the importance of longevity in artistic expression.
