Mika’s Laundry

This is a solid debut album for Matt Champion after the recent Brockhampton break up, the project has a lot of depth and layers to it but still leaves much to be desired. It has the traditional experimental vibe of a Matt Champion single put into an entire album, although, the tracks are a bit incoherent and it sounds more like a mixtape or collection of good ideas. The album has a small amount of features, but each work very well in their respective parts, with Dijions feature being one of the better rnb features i’ve ever heard. This album has a ton a great ideas and uses, but, it feels like sometimes they conflict each other and make this tape lack cohesion. I think this is definitely a step into the right way for Matt, and if he can stay route on a solid theme for an album I believe we can get something great in the near future.
