This album is an emotional masterpiece, it flawlessly conveys a cynical and almost existential perspective of a cinematic lifestyle. There is serious pain and hurt poured into each and every track of this project, waiting to be felt and heard by listeners. Even through each songs intense darkness the overall sound of the album is extremely beautiful and refined, so much thats it’s almost haunting. Being a blend of lo-fi infused slowcore music mixed with elements of dark folk and industrial, the overall sonic approach of this album is unnerving in every aspect. The production on this album is spectacular, the overall tone beautifully contrasts itself often, from going to calm and eerie, to harsh and evil. Each track feels like talking a walk further and further into darkness, until no return. Dan' vocals have this severely echoed reverb over them that feels very haunting, almost like he's stuck in a state of purgatory; a lost soul wandering around aimlessly in the afterlife surrounded by mist and fog. This album is genuinely such a violent and beautiful experience that is sure to leave you sitting in your room thinking about every mistake you’ve ever made.
