6 Feet Beneath The Moon

While this album leans more towards setting a mood some times rather than focusing on musicality, and the heavy use of reverb sometimes made it hard to listen to, it still is a promising beginning for Archie's studio album career. Highlights like "Border Line," "A Lizard State," and "Out Getting Ribs?" stand out with their quality. The instrumentals are well-executed, the writing and vocals are captivating, making it an impressive take on Art Rock from an indie artist starting out. While some songs are a bit mild, it's not a masterpiece, but when it hits the mark, it's unmatched by many other indie rock albums of the last decade. Its a super raw and emotional album, and marks a optimistic future for King Krule.
