Music b4 Music

I originally listened to this project because I loved listening to Uno’s earlier tracks and was super excited to revisit his more recent work, unfortunately it seems like he continues to put music out solely for revenue now. This project seems like it took 20 minutes to make, it’s extremely sloppy and poorly put together and every song just feels like another random throwaway. Uno has seriously regressed from his earlier production, with his catchier trap and hardcore beats to his now suppressed and lazy beats and flows. Uno’s lyricism and overall aura has reached a downfall as well, with each project of this album just feeling like he’s trying to grab at his previous success through his 2017 Playboi Carti kind of vibe. Honestly none of the tracks on this project are memorable at all, the lack of standouts is really surprising because amongst all of the weaker Uno albums i’ve always been able to really enjoy at least one or two tracks. This album is not cohesive at all, each songs holds an entirely different theme, with some having his cold-hearted trap beats in some scattered randomly, and his new experimental quicker and paced hip-hop in others. Overall I really hope this isn’t the fall of for Uno, but with this project in mind I doubt it’s even worth the time to listen, I really think Uno can make a grand comeback into the underground scene if he allows himself to give up his previous success and try something new that sticks.
