Dreaming Eyes

This project is extremely calm and human, its a perfect depiction of human melancholy and introspection put into a sonic medium. The album starts off extremely well with a great run of memorable and songs with heavy replay value but later on feels dragged out almost, that being my one and only flaw with this album. Nothing about the music is new or groundbreaking but everything is made and mixed with extreme perfection and sound spectacular. The entire album is extremely cohesive with it just feeling like one very long song. On this project River Tiber explores new directions, showcasing a more focused and intimate style. A re-edit of his 2019 single "Taurus" exemplifies this shift, with simplified production and a grounded feel. Throughout the album, moments of levity stand out, contrasting with the previous haze of "Indigo." Tracks like "Inside Out" showcase Tiber's pitch modulation over hypnotic rhythms and meandering basslines. The album is filled with robust instrumentation, shining brightest when Tiber allows the compositions to flow naturally. Songs like "Not Just Anyone" evoke the sunny pop of Stereolab with a buzzy, bopping breakbeat. Despite moving away from the moodiness of his debut, "Dreaming Eyes" retains emotional depth and richness.
